Sumi otoshi, wheeling uki forward with hands, enabled due to uki off balance , but Tori did hit a kouchi before the turn/ circling then completed his attack with sumi, the way i see it
A hand throw definitely, sumi otoshi
Thanks for watching!
Thanks bro but Can I demonstrate it without anyone, meaning just myself
@Wakathoshi you can mimic the motion, but without a training partner / opponent, it won't feel anything similar - balancing on one leg is easy, balancing yourself and someone else on that one leg isn't.
When your girl asks you for a princess lift.
Está errada a técnica não o soto gake
This one gave me a lot of trouble. Gotta keep trying though.
Thanks for watching!
Tsurigoshi
It was so hard trying to get this right back in the day
Experience goes a long way.
I don't know anything about judo but I practice another martial art. Perhaps you can clear something up for me. It seems logical to me to try to break the fall with your arms hitting the floor first so they absorb the impact rather than other vulnerable parts of the body. In this example the bottom is hitting the floor first, potentially risking injury to the tail bone or lower spine? Why is it done this way rather than slapping down with the arms before any part of the body hits the floor?
The arms do make contact, but using the arms to break your fall can easily result in injuring your wrist, arm, or shoulder. If you watch some of our demo videos of throws, you'll see the breakfalls used in a varied and practical setting.
Nice, easy explanation. Subscribed. Hope you reach 100k by the end of the year man🎉🎉🎉
no gi
Sensei we want you to explain the basics throw to us you only explained 8 movement we want more
What differentiates this from the traditional osoto gari?
Gari vs Otoshi, with the gari technique, Tori reaps away the leg. With otoshi, it's the act of Tori dropping that finishes the throw.
この形最後に受けの左足が前に出るのがおかしいと思う
この技は一本取るのも難しいし崩しにも使いにくい 審判に蹴りと間違えられて反則になるリスクも有ります
Judo throw called Sutemi Waza
Sutemi-waza is a category of throws, it means sacrifice techniques. This is a compilation of sacrifice techniques.
Tai-otoshi ?
Yep, Tai-otoshi.
This is much better than the double leg of BJJ and wrestling. Doing the wrestling double leg, dropping the knee to the mat hurt the lot, this seem much better for the knee
You should learn some harai-goshi and ushi-Mata instead of toshi-shaking
I don't understand what you mean?
one step hane goshi
Thanks for watching!
Before anyone comments, this IS uchi mata and NOT hane goshi. I understand the confusion, but trust me. Great technique.
Thanks for watching!
Try doing that to a 7 foot 500 pound dude
Judo is about using the right technique in the right situation.
So clean. No wasted movements.
Thanks for watching!
Sumi otoshi?
Yep, sumi-otoshi. Thanks for watching!
Maruyama special!
C’est ennoir mais je supose que c’est la caméra
C’est en noir
What club do you guys operate out of looks really good. Im UK based and would love to pop by if im ever in that part of the UK. IM based South East
Neno coaches on Tuesdays at the Tokei Judo Club in London bridge. The venue we use for recording our videos is not the same location as the club.
What is the addon mae?
Front, essentially it's belly to belly rather than belly to back or side on.
Belleza
How does this differ from a drop morote?
If you pull your opponent over you, its a seoi-otoshi, if you lift the opponent to throw them, its seoi-nage. Morote is used in common parlance when specifically maintaining the classic the sleeve and lapel grip, as there are many gripping variations with seoi type throws. But by Kodokan classification, there is only Seoi-nage, Seoi-otoshi and Ippon-seoi-nage.
Im watching this before my exam (june1 or tomorrow) bc im bad at it 😭😭
Good luck! Let me know how it goes!
always great.
Thanks for watching!
Excellent thumbnail lmao.
Thanks!
Can't wait to try this on my grandma. Thanks
Let me know if her hip is ok 😂
Make sure you get her whole back to slam into the floor so you get the point
I think grandma Frank will probably beat you.
Salut messieurs très bonne technique merci beaucoup bonne journée à vous deux et à bientôt pour d'autres exercices
Thanks for watching!
Love your content. Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Uki waza?
Yes, Uki-waza.
@@EfficientJudo my bad, I was trying to comment this on another video and posted this here. I was comparing this technique to the takedown in the other video and meant to say this on there. 😆
That's Judo (Hip Throw) Ogoshi.
Thanks for watching!
Nice move
Thanks for watching!
Salut messieurs très bonne technique merci beaucoup je suis fan de t'a chaîne UA-cam bonne chance pour d'autres technique
Thanks for watching!
I struggle to perform this differently to O-Guruma. What are the small differences?
The issue a lot of people have is that their kuzushi is poor and then their outstretched leg ends up sliding higher up tori's body and into the O-guruma position and the throw fails. Focus on generating good kuzushi and keeping the leg low.
Keep them coming!!
Thanks for watching!
Great stuff guys! Enjoying your videos. Check out my page for some yoga/mobility drills specifically for a judo player.
Looks like tai otoshi to me
Seoi techniques involve carrying uke on the back, which is done here. Tai-otoshi has only hand contact, this is quite a different throw to a Tai-otoshi.
kouchi makikomi
Thanks for watching!
Love this, Kashiwazaki style. Would do the same hop into a (?) yoko gake or tani otoshi looking thing.
Tani-otoshi wouldn't work because you're too front on - there is no way to hop like this and end up behind uke for the angle you need. A Yoko-otoshi could work.
@EfficientJudo I just meant the hopping into it. He'd do it from a Russian tie with a belt grip. Or threaten that then slide under for sumi. A whole series for sutemi waza ua-cam.com/video/v3HisfQ3jL8/v-deo.htmlsi=agp_i8w72CvaO_bU see around 6:27
What does furiko mean?
"Furiko" means "pendulum".
I can do it but I can't do it 😢
What do you mean?
I'll give that a go on Monday 😊
Thanks for watching!
